King Mswati III was crowned king of Swaziland on April 25, 1986 at the age of eighteen.
He thus became the youngest ruling monarch in the world. His father King
Sobhuza II died in 1982, at the age of 82, and to date is still regarded as the
longest reigning monarch. He ruled from 1921 to 1982.
