Yes, it's true, Siyavuka is happening this year!

Based on the concept of showing off local talent, the Festival will feature all the big Swazi names like Mshikishi, Duma Namankonyane, Zakho Band, Freedom Express, Dumisani Mbuli, Strive, Emajuba Ejerico, People's Educational Theatre, Courageous Gospel, Soul Friends, Buddy Masango and the ACASWA Gospel Groups - just to mention a bandful. From across the border we will have Phuzekhemisi and Jabu Khanyile & Bayethe.

The aims are to give everybody with a good voice, a good sound, a good act to come forward and show her/himself, and give the public a great time: the festival is offering joy whilst upholding the Swazi tradition. Yebo Bobabe na Bomake!!!!

The festival will be held in the Prince of Wales stadium starting on Friday December 1st and it will last the whole weekend. There will be interesting foodstalls (contact Dolores Goddefroy: 404 5743), craft stalls (contact Faye Holman 606 0016) and plenty of other activities. The committee this year is: Andreas Mavuso, Anne Eriksen, Anthony Dew, Dolores Goddefroy, Elton Smoor, Faye Holman, Harpert van Seggelen, Hilde Smoor, Sarah-Jane Kemp-Thomson.

The festival has the support from the Mbabane City Council and is organised in consultation with the Swaziland National Council of Arts.
